Our Community Commitment
Southcentre recognizes the importance of community. We proudly support a number of organizations that are committed to improving education, health, and the arts in the community at large.
We are proud to share that as a result of our commitment to contributing to year-round community giving, we were able to host more than 20 charity-centric activations and events throughout 2022, which collectively raised more than $1 million dollars for local charities.
In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
We give thanks to Indigenous Peoples as the traditional and current caretakers of this land and thank them for their care and stewardship of these lands and waters that have shaped this place since time immemorial. We recognize our responsibilities as Treaty people to engage in the meaningful, continuous process of truth and reconciliation with all our relations.
Southcentre Mall and Oxford Properties, though we are very early in our journey of reconciliation, are committed to a shared future where we listen to, learn from, and build genuine partnerships with Indigenous peoples and communities.
