Southcentre and Kids Help Phone are bringing The First Day Starts Here to Centre Court — a retro-inspired space to write a little encouragement, capture a photo and celebrate whatever comes next.

With a same-day purchase of $25 or more from any Southcentre retailer, visit Guest Services to pick up your stationery kit. One kit per qualifying receipt, including one letter sheet, envelope, sticker sheet and prompt sheet

Write down what you hope this year brings, what you want to remember or what you might need to hear on a hard day. - A note to someone I believe in
Send a little encouragement to someone starting something new — and tell them what you hope they remember along the way.
Write it. Seal it. Address it. Drop your letter in the mailbox in Centre Court and we’ll mail it back to you in June 2027.
Please note: Letters can only be addressed to recipients within Calgary city limits.

🚗 Vehicle & Pet Restrictions
Parking spots are standard size. No RVs, camper vans, truck campers, or large vehicles that extend beyond a standard stall. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all, we kindly ask that our furry friends stay home.
🕒 Arrive Early for the Best Spot
Gates open at 7:00 p.m. Getting there early helps you grab a great viewing spot and get settled before the show begins. Parking attendants will direct you upon entering.
🧳 Bring the Essentials
Pack blankets and pillows, and warm items are recommended as vehicles must be turned off for the duration of the movie.
🍿 Snacks & Sodas
Stock up before the movie! Southcentre offers plenty of options for food, snacks and last-minute essentials, including Shoppers, Dollarama and Safeway. Guests can also grab a quick bite from the food court or enjoy a meal at one of our sit-down restaurants before the movie.
Please note there will be no concession or food trucks within the parking lot.
📻 Don’t Forget the Radio
Movie sound is broadcast over FM radio. Please make sure your car radio works without the engine running, or bring a portable radio. The FM station will be provided at ticket check-in.

The drive-in movie may be affected by weather conditions. Screenings are subject to change or cancellation without notice. All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.
